Vancouver Chess School is a very well run and well organized endeavour, and kudos to the dedicated people running it. We'd been looking for chess classes for our son for a while but what made the difference now was the opening of online classes which seem perfect for chess -- this way all games can be recorded, replayed, and studied later. All the coaches are extremely patient and kind with the kids, while at the same time offering very rigorous chess education. The Camps are very interesting, you get to do a lot of fun chess activities, like class games, puzzles, and learn new openings. There are also CMA rated tournaments on Fridays.

My son has been enrolled with the school for approximately 7 months now and he has really enjoyed the experience, plus he has improved his game a lot. The teaching methods adapted for children strike the right balance and help the kids improve and enjoy with the game.

I have been a student at this academy for many years now and has guided me to many achievements. The academy helped me with my university applications as I can put the awards I received and competitions I had done. The classes had even compelled me to write a research paper on chess and history. My teacher Mr. G kept me passionate for learning and competing in chess. I was able to have an amazing mentor throughout the years and my chess skills have immensely improved since I started here. Highly recommend as this academy was like a second academic home to me.

My kid loves playing chess and learning chess with Vancouver Chess School. Their online class allows the students to learn from home and I appreciate they have a great website for the students to practice and do chess homework. They can attend tournaments as well to play games with other players.
