2012 BC Junior Championship Results
Thank you all for participating in the 2012 BC Junior Championship on Dec 1 &2. We had 17 players competing in the Open Section (rating >1500), and 35 players in the Reserve Section. Congratulations to Jack Cheng, Tanraj Sohal and Jason Cao. They all got 4 points out of 5, tied for the 1st place, and received $150 cash prize. Joshua Doknjas and Robin Yu were tied for the 1st place of BU1900, and received $45 cash prize. Rinna Yu was the champion of the Reserve Section, followed by Jeffrey Dawson (2nd Place), Neil Doknjas (3rd place), Lahiru Jayaweera (4th place) and Danny Liu (5th place). The top 3 finishers received their respective trophies and medals were awarded to 4th and 5th place winners. For some players, it was their first experience of long thoughtful games. we hope this tournament served as an introduction to a higher level of chess play.
