Upon completion, students should:

•    Understand the advanced methods of attack and defense.
•    Be adept at the art of exchange.
•    Be able to think prophylactically.
•    Understand the different types of sacrifices.
•    Be able to evaluate positions with unequal/unbalanced material.
•    Excel at Chess Calculation.
•    Have an expanded understanding of typical pawn formations – the isolated pawn, the hanging pawn, c3-d4 pawn structure, the Carlsbad pawn structure.
•    Understand advanced Endgame positions.
